Box Score (Atchison, Kan.)- The Men's Basketball Team defeated the Benedictine Ravens on Wednesday, 64-52. The Bobcats are now 11-3 in the Heart of America Conference and 15-3 overall.
The Bobcats controlled the game from the very start, leading by a commanding 33-17 margin at halftime before finishing off the Ravens in the second half. From the opening tip, the Bobcats were relentless, establishing an early lead with tough defense and efficient scoring. They dominated both ends of the court, particularly in the first two quarters, holding Benedictine to just 17 points by halftime. Peru State's defense was stifling, forcing turnovers and limiting the Ravens' scoring opportunities. Offensively, the Bobcats capitalized on their fast breaks and executed well in the half-court offense.
Stephen Coleman Jr. led the charge, scoring 17 points in the game, and his contribution was pivotal in giving the Bobcats a strong cushion heading into the locker room.
The Bobcats' offense was well-balanced, with several players stepping up to ensure the win.
Aaron Miller added 16 points, six rebounds, and three assists, showcasing his all-around game.
Devin Tomlinson was also a key contributor, recording 11 points, three rebounds, and four steals, while Christiane Tidiane was solid with nine points, seven rebounds, and two steals.
Amir Poat was an absolute force on the boards, pulling down a remarkable 15 rebounds, along with four points and three blocks. His rebounding presence in the paint kept the Ravens from gaining any momentum and allowed the Bobcats to maintain control throughout the game.
