(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Women's Basketball Team fell to the Culver-Stockton Wildcats on Saturday afternoon, 38-58. The Bobcats are now 3-9 in the Heart of America Conference and 5-11 overall.
In the first half, Vonderschmidt,
Kylie Diaz, and
Savannah Bingham each contributing four points. Vonderschmidt also made an impact on the boards, pulling down five rebounds in the first half.
The second half saw a slight improvement in scoring for the Bobcats, with Vonderschmidt adding five more points to her total.
Lexi Barnes and
Tiara Dodd also contributed defensively, each pulling down three rebounds in the period. However, it was not enough to overcome the deficit.
Erison Vonderschmidt finished the game as the Bobcats' leading scorer with 9 points, while also contributing 7 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 2 steals. Her all-around effort was one of the few bright spots for Peru State.
Kylie Diaz added 6 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists, showcasing her playmaking ability.
Tiara Dodd recorded 4 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals, while
Savannah Bingham chipped in 4 points and 4 rebounds.
