(Omaha, Neb.)- The Peru State Volleyball team fell in matchups against #5 Viterbo and University of St. Francis at the CSM Labor Day Classic on Friday, August 30
th. The Bobcats are now 2-4 overall.

The Bobcats started the first set off slow as the Hawks started with a 6-0 lead.
Erison Vonderschmidt, Raevyn Russel, and
Kennedy Miller each had two kills in the set with
Eden Moore having one as the Hawks took the set 25-12.

Set two started off with big blocks from
Kennedy Miller and assisted by
Eden Moore and Raevyn Russel. The Hawks and Bobcats went back and forth throughout the set with the help of four kills from
Eden Moore and two service aces from
Kennedy Miller, the teams were tied 21-21. Through kills from
Addison Schneider and
Kennedy Miller, the Haws win the set 25-23.

The Bobcats struggled to start in the third set.
Erison Vonderschmidt had four kills against the Hawks in the set along with a block from
Kennedy Miller and Raevyn Russel. The Hawks took the third set win 25-14.

Eden Moore led the Bobcats with seven kills and 11 digs against the Hawks.
Erison Vonderschmidt had six kills with four digs in the matchup. Raevyn Russel had five kills and 12 digs against Viterbo with
Kennedy Miller having five kills, four assisted blocks and two digs. Sami Chesley had 22 assists in the matchup with
Ryan White having 12 digs against the Hawks.

In set one,
Kennedy Miller had two aces with Raevyn Russel and
Kennedy Miller each having a service ace to start the set. Throughout the set, Raevyn Russel had five kills with
Erison Vonderschmidt having four as the Bobcats go back and forth with the Fighting Saints as Saint Francis takes set one 25-21.

Eden Moore started the second set for the Bobcats with a kill followed by a kill and ace from
Kennedy Miller. There were nine lead changes throughout the set with
Eden Moore and
Erison Vonderschmidt having four kills in the set. The Bobcats won the set 25-23.

The Bobcats had a slow start in the first set as they found themselves in a 5-9 deficit. The team fought back with the help of kills from
Kalyssa Fox and
Erison Vonderschmidt and assisted blocks from
Kennedy Miller,
Erison Vonderschmidt, and
Kalyssa Fox, taking a 13-12 lead. Saint Francis took the win through the efforts of the Bobcats 25-17.

In the third set, the Bobcats started out slow, finding themselves in a seven-point deficit. The Bobcats were able to close the gap with multiple kills from Raevyn Russel and
Kalyssa Fox. Through the efforts of Sami Chesley and
Erison Vonderschmidt, Saint Francis took the set win, 25-23.

Raevyn Russel led the Bobcats with 16 kills, eight digs and a service ace.
Erison Vonderschmidt had 15 kills with eight digs and two assisted blocks.
Kalyssa Fox had seven kills with
Kennedy Miller having five kills, three aces and two assisted blocks in the matchup.
