(Omaha, Neb.)- The Peru State Volleyball team fell to nationally ranked #16 IU Kokomo and #17 College of Saint Mary at day 2 of the CSM Labor Day Classic. The team is now 2-6 on the season.

The Bobcats struggled in the first set, finding themselves in a big deficit.
Erison Vonderschmidt had three kills and an ace as the Bobcats tried to close the gap. The Cougars took set one, 25-10.

Addison Schneider started out set two for the Bobcats with a solo block and assisted block with
Kalyssa Fox.
Eden Moore had three kills throughout the set with
Addison Schneider having two throughout the set.

Addison Schneider had a big block for the Bobcats, but the Cougars found a way and took the set 25-19.

The Bobcats started out set three strong going on a 5-0 run with back-to-back aces from
Allie Schneider and a block from
Kalyssa Fox. The Cougars tied the game 10-10. The Bobcats struggled to take the lead back as the Cougars went on a run. Even through kills from
Kalyssa Fox and Raevyn Russel, the Cougars took the win 25-19.

Raevyn Russel led the Bobcats with five kills, eight digs and two blocks.
Erison Vonderschmidt had seven kills and six digs in the matchup.
Eden Moore,
Addison Schneider and
Kalyssa Fox each had three kills with Fox adding five digs.
Ryan White had 12 digs against the Cougars.

In set one,
Erison Vonderschmidt started out the set with a kill along with a assisted block from
Kalyssa Fox and
Addison Schneider. The Flames went on a run early in the set. Back-to-back blocks from the Bobcats help close the gap. Raevyn Russel had six kills throughout the set as the Flames won set one 25-21.

Addison Schneider against the Flames in the third set and
Eden Moore adding three, the Flames took the set win 25-21.

Addison Schneider had eight kills and three blocks in the matchup with the Flames. Raevyn Russel had seven kills and 11 digs for the Bobcats.
Emily Sherman added six digs for the Bobcats.
The Bobcats will return home on Wednesday, September 4th to take in the Bellevue Bruins in our PAC the AWAC game.Â
