(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Volleyball Team fell to nationally ranked #8 Bellevue on Wednesday, September 4
th. The Bobcats fall to 2-7 on the season.

The Bobcats started out set 1 with kills from
Addison Schneider and Raevyn Russel and block from
Kalyssa Fox and
Kennedy Miller. The teams went back and forth until the Bruins managed to take an 18-12 lead. With the help of kills from
Erison Vonderschmidt and strong serves from
Allie Schneider, the Bobcats were able to come back and take a 20-19 lead. A big block from
Addison Schneider and
Kalyssa Fox and ace by
Emily Sherman won the final points for the Bobcats as they took set 1, 25-22.

The Bobcats started slow in set two as the Bruins took an early lead.
Eden Moore and
Kennedy Miller had a big block against the Bruins. The Bobcats had five kills in the set with
Addison Schneider having the final kill. The Bobcats won the set 25-9.

The Bruins took an early 5-0 lead in the third set. Through the efforts of multiple kills each from
Kennedy Miller, Raevyn Russel,
Addison Schneider and
Erison Vonderschmidt, the Bobcats struggled to close the gap and Bellevue won the set, 25-15.

Eden Moore and
Erison Vonderschmidt started out the fourth set for the Bobcats with kills. The Bruins took the lead, but the Bobcats tied the game at 11-11 with strong serves and an ace from Sami Chesley. The teams went back and forth throughout the set with the help of multiple kills from Erison Vondershmidt and Raevyn Russel. The Bruins found a way and won the set 25-21.

Erison Vondershmidt led the Bobcats with 12 kills and 14 digs against the Bruins. Raevyn Russel also had 12 kils and 13 digs in the matchup.
Addison Schneider had eight kills and two blocks with Kennedy miller having six kills and three blocks.

Allie Schneider had 20 assists in the matchup, adding nine digs. Sami Chesley had 19 assists and two aces against the Bruins.
Ryan White added 11 digs in the match.

The Bobcats travel to Avila University to take on Briar Cliff at 3:00 pm and Avila at 5:00 pm on Saturday, September 7
th.
