(Peru, Neb)- The Peru State Baseball Team defeated #13 Bellevue University, 7-6, in a thriller 9-inning game on Saturday afternoon in Peru, Nebraska.

The Bobcats went scoreless for the first three innings of the game. A single by
Wesley Bradford sent
Angel Andrades in to score and tie the game up at 1-1 after the fourth inning. In the fifth inning,
Antonio Benitez hit a homerun that scored
Gustavo Rivera as well, putting the Bobcats up 3-1.
Randy Jimenez scored in the sixth inning after
Xavier Solla singled to right center.
Xavier Solla then scored on an error by third base to put the Bobcats up 5-3.

In the top of the eighth inning the Bruins scored to take the lead back 6-5. With two outs,
Xavier Solla scored to tie the game at 6-6. In the 10
th inning,
Antonio Benitez hit a single to left center that sent
Wesley Bradford in to score the game winning run for the Bobcats.

Casey Ogden pitched six innings for the Bobcats, only allowing four Bruin hits and three run while having Bellevue 10 strikeouts.
Diego Oquendo pitched four innings only getting charged with six hits and three runs with four Bruin strikeouts.
