Softball falls Against Mount Mercy

(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Softball team played the Mount Mercy Mustangs on Saturday, April 20th. The Bobcats fell in their two games to the Mustangs.
 
Game 1- Peru State 0 – Mount Mercy 13
 
The Bobcats had three hits against the Mustangs with Ellie Ohlde, Kylee Weiss each had one hit with Kaelyn Hamblen hitting a double. The team had 18 putouts with six assists.
 
Emily Vannatta pitched 4.1 innings, allowing only five hits and four runs with four strikeouts. Emberlyn Medsker pitched 1.2 innings, getting charged with 4 hits and nine runs with one strikeout.
 
Game 2- Peru State 0 – Mount Mercy 6
 
The Bobcats had four hits against the Mustangs in game two. Leann Hawkins and Catrina Dixson each had one hit. Kylee Dieckmann had two hits for the Bobcats. The team had 21 putouts and seven assists in game two.
 
Jessica Filkin pitched four innings for the Bobcats, allowing two hits and six runs with one strikeout. Emily Vannatta pitched three innings only allowing four hits and having one strikeout.
