(Lincoln, Neb)- The Peru State Softball team dropped their two games at Nebraska Wesleyan on Wednesday night.

Game 1- Peru State 1 – Nebraska Wesleyan 3
The Bobcats held off the Coyotes from scoring for the first two innings of the matchup. Only allowing Nebraska Wesleyan to score one run in the third, fourth and fifth innings.

The Bobcats had seven hits during the game.
Ellie Ohlde had two hits with
Autumn Dixon,
Jordan Tracy, LeAnn Hawkins,
Alanea Babb and
Kaelyn Hamblen each having a hit.
Ellie Ohlde scored a run for the Bobcats after advancing because of a wild pitch that hit
Alanea Babb.

Jessica Filkin pitched four innings, only getting charged with three hits and two runs but also having a strikeout.
Emily Vannatta pitched two innings and was charged with three hits and only one run.Â

The Bobcats scored three runs early with
Ellie Ohlde doubling to left field to score
Jami Mans and Kylee Dieckman.
Sophia Summers singled to left field scoring
Ellie Ohlde to complete the first inning with three runs. In the fifth inning,
Ellie Ohlde was walked scoring LeAnn Hawkins followed by a wild pitch that scored Kylee Dieckman.

Emberlyn Medsker pitched 1.2 innings getting charged with two hits and four runs but having a strikeout. Emily Vanatta pitched 4.1 innings, charged with eight hits and five runs also having three strikeouts.

Next: The Bobcats will play their first home games this weekend on Friday against Bellevue and Saturday against MidAmerica Nazarene in their first conference games of the season.
