(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Men's Basketball team kicked off their 2024 Season with a victory against Haskell 85-54.
The Bobcats came out hot in the first half taking a 17 point lead in the first eight minutes of the game.
Lamar Lovelace had seven points and two assists in the first half.
Carlos Hines had six points with four assists.
Christian Tidiane had five rebounds in the half as the Bobcats led 49-26 at halftime.
In the second half, the Bobcats continued to extend their lead against Haskell. The Bobcats didn't let up as Haskell tried to close the gap. The team tallied 23 rebounds and two steals as they ran away with the game to take the win 85-54.
Stephen Coleman Jr. had 13 points with three rebounds for the Bobcats.
Christian Tidiane had 10 points, eight rebounds, three blocks and two assists for the Bobcats.
Carlos Hines had eight points, six assists and two rebounds with
Luke Lee adding nine points in the win.
Next: The Bobcats will travel to Bellevue on November 1
st and 2
nd for the Bellevue Chick-fil-a Classic. They will play Dickenson State on Friday at 2:00 and Bellevue University on Saturday at 7:00pm.
