Men’s Basketball Drops Game to Culver-Stockton at Home

(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State men's basketball team fell to the Culver-Stockton Wildcats 63-71 on Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats are now 3-6 in the Heart of America Conference and 7-6 overall.
 
In the first half the Bobcats started with a layup from Ajantae Hogan (Jr., Lincoln, NE). The Bobcats went point for point with the wildcats throughout the half with the help of  Christian Tidiane (Jr., Council Bluffs, IA) who had six points and four rebounds for the Bobcats. Ty Griggs (Jr., Omaha, NE) also tallied seven points during the first half. The Wildcats had a close lead of 32-27.
 
David Wingett Jr. (Sr., Winnebago, NE) began the second half with a Dunk that the Wildcats didn't see coming. Wingett Jr. led the team in the second half with 11 points and three rebounds. Ty Griggs continued to be an asset for the Bobcats in the second half scoring eight points having two 3-pointers in the half. Even with their efforts and a final layup in the paint by Chrisitan Tidiane, the team couldn't close the gap with the Wildcats and fell 63-71.
 
Ty Griggs led the team with 15 points and three rebounds with David Wingett Jr. being close behind with 12 points and four rebounds. Chrisitan Tidiane had a big defensive game with seven rebounds and putting up eight points for the Bobcats. Sayvon Traylor (Sr., Atlanta, GA) had seven points with five rebounds against the Wildcats.
 
Next: The Bobcats will take on Graceland University in their first game of the new year on January 3rd at home.  Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
