Men’s Basketball Pulls Out Win Over Kansas Wesleyan in Nail-Biter

(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Men's Basketball team beats Kansas Wesleyan in a close game of 84-79 in North Newton, Kansas Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats are now 4-0 overall.   

In the first half of the game, the Bobcats couldn't be stopped by the Coyotes. Sayvon Traylor (Sr., Atlanta, GA) had 13 points and two rebounds in the first half of the game. Skyler Wilson (Jr., Omaha, NE) had nine points and six rebounds with David Wingett Jr. (Sr., Winnebago, NE) also having six rebounds and adding three points.  AJ Richard (Jr., Pearland, TX) had six points and four rebounds for the Bobcats as they finish the first half up 44-29. 

Ajantae Hoga n (Jr., Lincoln, NE) started out the second half with free throws followed by a layup by David Wingett Jr. Hogan racked up a total ten points in the half with three rebounds. Sayvon Traylor was close behind with nine points. David Wingett Jr. had eight points and six rebounds in the second half. The Coyotes weren't given a glimpse of hipe as the Bobcats couldn't be stopped and finished with the win 84-79. 

In total, Sayvon Traylor led the team in points with 22 and had three rebounds. Ajantae Hogan added 16 points with four rebounds. AJ Richard had 13 points and five rebounds while Ty Griggs (Jr., Omaha, NE) had 10 points. David Wingett Jr., had 12 rebounds for the Bobcats and added 11 points with Skyler Wilson not being far behind with 10 rebounds and nine points.  

Next: The Bobcat Men's Basketball team travels to Parkville, Missouri for the first conference game of the season to take on Park University. Tipoff is set for 7:30 PM.
