(Peru, Neb.)—The Peru State athletic department recently named
Jibril Harris (Chicago) of the men's basketball team and Sam Stewart
(Mount Ayr, Iowa) of the women's basketball team December Bobcat Athletes of the Month.
In the month of December, Harris averaged near a double-double scoring 15.6 points per game and 9.2 rebounds per game. Harris helped the Bobcats to a 9-4 record before the winter break.
Stewart in the month of December averaged 14 points per game, four rebounds per game and three steals a game.
Both men's and women's basketball teams are in full swing this winter.
