(Peru, Neb.)—On Tuesday, May 10, Peru State outfielder
William Reynolds (Bakersfield, Calif.) was named to the Heart of America Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team. The Bobcats went 1-2 in the tournament losing to No. 12 Central Methodist 6-3, defeating Park 13-2 and losing to Mount Mercy 12-10.
During tournament play, Reynolds had nine hits on 14 at bats while scoring three runs and driving in six RBIs with a batting average of .643. Reynolds also had a perfect fielding percentage 1.000 with seven total putouts.
Reynolds this season played in 51 games and had 57 hits during 180 at bats, scored 35 runs, hit 14 doubles, two homeruns and drove in 20 RBIs. Reynolds also stole six bags on the year. He had a batting average of .317, an on base percentage of .377 and a slugging percentage of .428.
He had a fielding percentage of .988 with 79 putouts on 81 total chances with one assist and only one error the entire season.
Reynolds has recently won a gold glove for his play in the field against Heart competition this season.
Peru State finished the season 22-33 and 18-14 in Heart conference play. The Bobcats will be back on the diamond next spring.
