(Peru, Neb.)—On March 15, 2022, Peru State softball head coach
JL Thomason signed Haley Kay from Omaha, Nebraska. Kay played for the Millard North Mustangs.
Kay is 5-foot-3 second basemen, and she is the daughter of Shannon and Jill Kay.
She plans on studying criminal justice while at Peru State College.
Millard North was 23-11 in the 2021 season. The Mustangs made it to the Nebraska Class A State Championship where they won the first round game against Millard South but then lost to Lincoln Southwest and eventual state champions Lincoln East.
