(Peru, Neb.)- In her third year as a head coach, Toni Closner led the Peru State Softball team to their best conference record since 2022 as the Bobcats completed the season 5-19 in the Heart of America Conference and 10-34 overall.

After a slow start to the season, the team faced tough opponents early; the Bobcats opened their home conference with a sweep over Culver-Stockton.

At the end of the season, four players earned Heart All-Conference Honors. Leading the way was Senior
Ellie Ohlde and Freshman
Kloey Hamblen, both named on the second team All-Conference list. Adding to the list, Freshman
Reagan Wiehe received honorable mention recognition.

Kloey Hamblen led the Bobcats in hits with 39 this season, adding 18 RBI's and a batting average of .339 and a slugging percentage of .426.
Ellie Ohlde was a big contributor to the team in conference play, hitting a .375 batting average and a .528 slugging percentage against conference teams.
Reagan Wiehe had 17 hits and 13 RBI's in the 22 games she played this season, tallying a .400 batting average and a .667 in slugging percentage in conference play.

Jami Mans led the Bobcats in RBI's with 21 this season with 11 during conference play.
Jordan Tracy led the in-batting percentages after she batted a .400 and had a .600 slugging percentage and a .419 on-base percentage.

In the circle,
Emily Vannatta led the Bobcats in strikeouts with 44, averaging 3.87 per seven innings. She had five wins, and one save this season, finishing with an ERA of 4.76 in conference games.

In addition to the all-conference recognition, 13 Bobcats were named 2025 Daktronics NAIA Spring Sports Scholar-Athletes.
