(Peru, Neb.) – A big second half on the road propelled the Bobcats to a much-needed conference road win in Des Moines, Iowa, Wednesday night. The 'Cats outscored the Vikings 50-38 in the final 20 minutes.

The Bobcats improved to 9-6 overall and 5-5 in the Heart of America Conference (Heart) North with a 89-74 win. Grand View fell to 8-4 overall and 5-4 in the Heart North.

Henry Tanksley (Lincoln) to give the 'Cats a quick 4-0 lead with 18:59 to go in the first half.

After the Vikings hit a three to get on the board, Peru State got three straight points from
Tyrece Griggs (Omaha). Griggs made a field goal and got one of two free throws to go to give the Bobcats a 7-3 lead with 17:34 on the clock.

Amitai Afenjar (Los Angeles) made a three with 13:57 remaining to give Peru State a five-point advantage at 15-10.

The Vikings came back on the 9-6 run to take a two-point lead before Tanksley made a three-pointer off the pass from Afenjar to get the Bobcats a one-point lead at 26-25 with 6:41 in the first half.

A 6-0 run followed for the 'Cats after Griggs made a basket with 4:01 left in the score with a score of 32-25.

Seven straight points for Grand View tied the score until Wilson made a basket to give the Bobcats a two-point lead at 34-32 with 2:41 remaining in the first 20 minutes of play.
