(Peru, Neb.) – The second night with a revised team line-up due to Covid-19, the Peru State volleyball team played better. However, it was not enough as the visiting Clarke (Iowa) Pride topped the Bobcats 3-1 Saturday in the Al Wheeler Activity Center on Peru State's campus.

Jaddy Duarte (Brasilia, Brazil) put down a spike from Rios. That would be as close as the Bobcats would get in the set.
Third Set Action
The third set was a tight one throughout as there were nine times and four lead changes before the Bobcats pulled out the win.
Roseberry put down back-to-back kills from Rios to give the 'Cats the early 2-0 lead. Peru State would have its largest lead at 10-6 after Duarte scored with a service ace. The Pride would come back with a 5-0 run to take the lead at 11-10.
Clarke would eventually go out to a three-point advantage at 21-18 and later lead 23-20 as things looked a little bleak for the Bobcats. After an attack error, Mollhoff got a kill from Rios to pull Peru State within one at 23-22. The Pride were able to get the next point to make it match point, but
Sidney Peck (Manitoba, Canada) kept the Bobcats alive with a kill. Roseberry would tie it with a kill at 24-24.
The teams would trade points with the Bobcats having set point at 26-25 before Clarke knotted the score. Peru State would win the set on back-to-back attacking errors by the Pride.
