(Peru, Neb.) – The difference in the first quarter scoring was enough for the 23rd-ranked Grand View Vikings to hold off the visiting Peru State women's basketball team Wednesday night.
The Vikings outscored the Bobcats 20-9 in the first quarter and then held on for a 78-67 win in Des Moines.
Grand View improved to 12-3 overall and 8-1 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart). The 'Cats fell to 5-8 overall and 3-6 in conference play.
