(Peru, Neb.) – It was announced recently that Djurgarden Basket Stockholm (Basketligan) signed Peru State men's basketball player Lyle Hexom (Omaha).
                              
Hexom played this summer for the Memphis Grizzlies in the National Basketball Association (NBA) Summer League.
 
Djurgarden plays in the Basketligan league which is comprised of ten teams. They were the Swedish SuperEttan Champion in 2018-19.
 
Currently, in addition to Hexom – who will play forward, Djurgarden has signed guards Kristoffer Gafor and Nils Johansson and another forward Yannick Anzuluni. Gafor has previously been a member of the team while the other Johansson previously played on a different Sweden team and Anzuluni played for a German team.
 
The Bobcats' Hexom played two years in a Peru State uniform before being selected by the Grizzlies to participate in the NBA Summer League. Peru State won the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) qualifying the 'Cats for the NAIA National Tournament. Hexom was named the Heart's Player of the Year and was an NAIA All-American First Team Selection.
 
Djurgarden will begin play in the Swedish League on September 25.
