Bobcat Men’s Basketball Comes From Behind for Fifth-Straight Win

(Peru, Neb.) – A balanced Peru State scoring attack countered a 31-point performance by an Evangel player as the Bobcats came from ten down in the second half to win 85-79 Saturday in the Al Wheeler Activity Center.

The Bobcats won their fifth-straight contest to improve to 13-7 overall and more importantly to move to 7-2 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) North Division. The Crusaders fell to 5-15 overall and are now 3-6 in the Heart South Division.

Peru State's win keeps them in second place in the Heart North – one game behind division leading William Penn (Iowa) and one game ahead of Graceland (Iowa).

The lead was short-lived as the Crusaders would drain three consecutive treys to knot the game at 77-77 with 1:40 on the clock.

Seth Snoddy (Daly City, Calif.) made one of two free throws and then Hunter added two more free throws to give the Bobcats an 80-77 lead. Westbrook would then add two more free throws and Moore Jr. added one of two to put Peru State up 83-77, but the Crusaders kept after the 'Cats.
