The Vikings actually had the first lead in game one by scoring one in the bottom of the first inning.

Peru State would get on the board in the second inning.

Upcoming Games

Peru State still has four HAAC games remaining in the regular season.  In addition, it was noted yesterday that the non-conference games with Haskell Indian Nations University will not be rescheduled as the Fighting Indians do not have any pitchers healthy.

The Bobcats will host MidAmerica Nazarene University on Saturday, April 26, in a double header scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.  The Pioneers are currently 20-10 overall and 11-3 in the HAAC, currently good for second in the conference.  They will play Culver-Stockton on Friday before coming to Peru for their final conference games.

Then, on Sunday, Peru State will travel to Atchison, Kan., to take on the Benedictine College Ravens.  Presently, the Ravens are 15-18 overall and 8-6 in the HAAC, good enough for fourth right now.   The Ravens have to travel to Central Methodist on Saturday to play the 16th-ranked Eagles before hosting the Bobcats.

Peru State has qualified for the HAAC's post-season tournament which will be held in Olathe, Kan., on May 1-3.  The official seeding will not take place until the conclusion of Sunday's games.  The Bobcats could finish as high as fourth or as low as eighth depending on how all of the remaining games play out through Sunday.
