(Peru, Neb.) – The Northwestern College Red Raiders were not kind as they took two one-run contests from the visiting Peru State Bobcat softball team on Friday. The Red Raiders took game one 1-0 and then took the nightcap 7-6 in non-conference play.
With the two wins, Northwestern improved to 28-16 overall while the 'Cats fell to 24-19.
Game One Action The first game was a pitcher's duel with Northwestern scoring its only run in the bottom of the fifth inning. Peru State had scoring threats in the top of the first and top of the seventh, but left two on base in each half inning without scoring.
The Red Raiders scored their lone run on five hits and did not have any errors. Peru State managed just two hits against Northwestern and did not have any errors.
