The Eagles plated four runs in the bottom half of the inning to take a 4-1 lead. After the Bobcats left two on base in the top of the second, Central Methodist added three more runs in the bottom half of the inning to lead 7-1.
The CMU 7-1 lead held until the bottom of the fifth when the Eagles added one more run to make it 8-1. In the bottom of the sixth, Central Methodist added one more run, their last of the first game to lead 9-1.

Michael Melendez (Hollywood, Fla.) led the Bobcats with two hits while Alonzo, Santiesteban, and Barnes were each credited with one RBI.
Aubrey DeZarn
(Las Vegas) started the game for Peru State and was tagged for the loss. DeZarn gave up nine hits, eight earned runs, and struck out three.
Marshall Klontz (Auburn, Wash.) pitched one inning. Klontz allowed two hits and one earned run.

Peru State got on board in the first inning again in the second game. After the first out of the game, Alonzo singled to left center. Santiesteban stepped to the plate and homered to left center to make it 2-0 Bobcats. Barnes followed with a double and then went to third on a passed ball. As
Seth Walston (Hemet, Calif.) ground out to second, Barnes scored giving Peru State a 3-0 advantage. The 'Cats would strand two additional runners in the inning.
CMU got on the board in the bottom of the second when they scored one run to make it 3-1.
The Bobcats would extend their lead in the top of the third inning. After an out, Walston reached on a walk. After another out, Walston stole second. Batting next,
Derrick Davis (Orange Park, Fla.) homered to left field, putting the Bobcats up 5-1.
Peru State would add additional runs in the top of the fifth inning. Melendez doubled to left center to start the inning. Davis produced his second straight home run of the game to give the 'Cats a 7-1 lead. Wright then got on base by an Eagle error. Glass singled to right center and Wright went all the way to third. On Croushorn's fly ball out, Wright scored to make it 8-1. Glass then stole second. After another strikeout, Santiesteban singled through the left side allowing Glass to score. Going into the bottom of the fifth, Peru State led 9-1.
Central Methodist would try to make a game of it in the bottom of the sixth by scoring five runs to cut the deficit to 9-6. In the bottom of the seventh, the Eagles added one more run, making it 9-7.
In the top of the ninth, the Bobcats would add an insurance run. After the first out, Croushorn singled up the middle. Croushorn would advance to second when Alonzo grounded out. Santiesteban singled up the middle to drive in Croushorn to make it 10-7 Peru State.
The Bobcats scored their ten runs on 16 hits and did not commit an error. CMU scored its seven runs on 12 hits and had one miscue.
Melendez went four of five to lead Peru State while Santiesteban had three hits. Croushorn, Alonzo, and Davis each had two hits. Santiesteban and Davis each drove in four runs.
Tim Patterson
(Valdosta, Ga.) earned his third win of the season against no losses as he threw the first five and two-third innings. Patterson gave up 11 hits, six earned runs, and struck out two.
Brent Brown (Hemet, Calif.) came in to pitch one and one-third innings. Brown gave up one hit, one earned run, and struck out two.
Vance Keller (Tacoma, Wash.) pitched one-third of an inning with
Miguel Navarro (San Jacinto, Calif.) coming in to throw the final one and two-third innings. Navarro did not surrender any hits or runs and struck out three. Navarro earned the save.

Upcoming Games
The Bobcats were to have played Nebraska Wesleyan University on Thursday. However, a scheduling conflict for the Prairie Wolves forced the postponement of the game.
On Friday and Saturday, Peru State will travel to Olathe, Kan., to face MidAmerica Nazarene University in a pair of double headers. Game time each day is 1 p.m. Currently, the Pioneers are 12-9 on the season and 5-3 in the HAAC. Peru State and MidAmerica Nazarene are both in the Western Division of the HAAC and the teams are two of the four teams in the conference with winning records.
On Monday, the 'Cats are making another trip to Kansas, this time to Manhattan, to face Manhattan Christian College. The double header is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. Through March 25, the Crusaders were 3-25 on the season.
