(Peru, Neb.) – The College of St. Mary (CSM) women's basketball team continued its 2014-15 unbeaten streak as the Flames put the heat on the Bobcats 82-55 in Omaha on Monday night.
With the win, the Flames, ranked eighth in the NAIA DII Coaches' Poll, are now 8-0. Peru State fell to 1-5 with the loss.
Sydney Wilkinson scored ten points to lead Peru State Team Statistics CSM shot better in every category than the 'Cats did on the night. The Flames made 29 of 66 field goals for 43.9% while Peru State was 20 of 66 for 30.3%. Neither team lit it up from behind the arc as CSM made 2 of 15 for 13.3% and the Bobcats were 2 of 20 for 10%. At the free throw line, the Flames were 22 of 28 for 78.6%. Peru State went 13 of 22 for 59.1%.
One of the biggest differences came in rebounding as CSM out-rebounded the 'Cats 54 to 33. In addition, the Flames blocked seven shots compared to Peru State's one. CSM did commit two more turnovers than Peru State, 19 to 17.
Individual Statistics The only Bobcat to score in double figures was
Sydney Wilkinson (St. Joseph, Mo.) as she finished with ten points.
Madison Peterson (West Valley, Utah) added seven points while four Bobcats finished with six points each.
Brittany Harward (Orem, Utah) and
Sydney Young (Omaha) each grabbed six rebounds.
Madara Laure battles for the ball. Laure finished with a game-high

Harward was credited with Peru State's lone blocked shot.
CSM BOX SCORE Upcoming Games Peru State will play two exhibition games, both against NCAA opponents, before beginning its Heart of America Athletic Conference play.
On Black Friday, the Bobcats will face the Wildcats of Wayne State at 6 p.m. in Wayne. Currently, the NCAA DII #12 Wildcats are 5-0 having won four games over DII opponents and one game over NAIA York College.
On the first of December, Peru State will step up another level as they travel to Omaha to face the University of Nebraska Omaha Mavericks at 7 p.m. Currently, the NCAA DI Mavs are 2-1, but will play two opponents before Peru State visits on Monday.
Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan., will host Peru State on Thursday, Dec. 4, for both team's first Heart of America Athletic Conference play. Currently, the Ravens are 3-4, but will play two games before the 'Cats visit for a 5:30 contest.
On Saturday, Dec. 6, Peru State will host Evangel University from Springfield, Mo. Game time with the Crusaders, who are currently 1-3, will be 2 p.m.
As part of the Dec. 6 women's and men's double header, the Fantastic Flyers from Gary's Tumbling of Glenwood, Iowa, will perform at halftime of both contests.
