In the second half, PSC built a 16-point lead at 50-34 with just over ten minutes left in the game. The Vikings were never able to get back within single-digits during the rest of the game as Peru State eventually won 65-53.

The Vikings made 22 of 67 field goal attempts for 32.8% that included two of seven shooting from behind the arc for 28.6%. Peru State hit 19 of 65 field goals for 29.2% and only made one of four three-point tries for 25%. The biggest difference in the game was that PSC made 26 of 36 free throws for 72.2% while the Vikings hit seven of 13 for 53.8%.
The Bobcats outrebounded the Vikings 42-39 and forced Mo Valley into 26 turnovers while only committing 17. Peru State blocked three shots while the Vikings blocked two.
All six Bobcat players scored in the game and were led by an outstanding performance by
Courtney Ward (Bartlesville, Okla.). Ward scored 24 points and had a career-high 23 rebounds. Ward was 12 of 14 from the free throw line and blocked three shots.
Also scoring in double figures for Peru State was
Karlee Stuart (Las Animas, Colo.). Stuart finished with 14 points, grabbed five rebounds, and had five steals.
Blair finished with her career-high of nine points while
Natasha Moss (Indianapolis) added eight points. Tate finished with seven points and dished out seven assists.
Jasmine Lockwood (Sunrise, Fla.) added the final three points and had four steals.

Later this week, Peru State will play two more HAAC games. On Thursday, PSC hosts the Benedictine College Raves at 5:30 p.m. and then will travel to Kansas City, Mo., on Saturday to face the Avila University Eagles at 2 p.m.
The 'Cats will next be at home on Thursday, Jan. 17, when they host Graceland University at 5:30 p.m.
The win improved the Bobcats record to 6-10 overall and 2-3 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC). With the win, the 'Cats are now tied for sixth in the ten-team league. Missouri Valley fell to 1-3 in the HAAC and 4-12 overall with the loss.

Mo Valley scored the first bucket of the game off the opening tip to take their only lead of the game. It would be nearly three minutes before either team would score when
