Devon Massengale (Elkhorn) started off the game giving up three runs – all earned, and struck out three MVC hitters through the first five and one-third innings.
Lyndsay Drumm (Bennington) finished the game for PSC, and threw two and two-thirds innings, giving up one earned run. Drumm was credited for the win, improving her record to 5-6 on the year.
Choate went three for three, Bodyk went one for three, and Maresh was one for two. Maresh added two RBI, while Choate and Bodyk each had one.

Game Two Action
Missouri Valley put up four runs in the bottom of the second inning, giving them a lead that they would not lose for the rest of the game, until PSC tied it up late in the seventh.
The Vikings added a run in the third to take a commanding lead at 5-0.
Finally in the top of the fifth the Bobcats were able to put up a run, but it did not come until two outs in the inning.
Alexa Johnson (Fremont) stepped up and produced a home run over the right field fence on a 0-0 count. For Johnson, it was her first home run as a Bobcat. As the Vikings did not score in the bottom of the inning, at the end of five, it was 5-1 MVC.
Neither team scored in the sixth, but PSC came back in the seventh inning to almost take the game from Missouri Valley.
Bodyk reached on a walk and
Abbie Moser (Lincoln) came in as a pinch runner. Maresh was then hit by a pitch, advancing Moser.
Toni Blackwell (Papillion) came in for Maresh as a pinch runner. Moser and Blackwell advanced to third on a ground out. Johnson then doubled to deep left-center, bringing in both Moser and Blackwell, making it a 5-3 ballgame. Massengale, pinch hitting for Tesla Oldfied
(Nebraska City), singled, and Oldfield reentered to pinch run for Massengale. Hoock followed with a single, and advanced both Johnson and Oldfield.
Stephanie Holdsworth (Bennet) followed with a single to shallow center, bringing in Johnson to score, and advancing both Hoock and Oldfield to make it a 5-4 deficit.
Lyndes now up to bat reached first on a fielder's choice, in the process Oldfield was forced out, but Hoock was able to advance to third. Following a wild pitch Hoock scored knotting the game a 5-5. With two runners on and two outs, PSC was not able to capitalize as the inning ended with a ground out.
Unfortunately, in the bottom of the final inning, the Vikings were able to put a run on the board and won the game with a final score of 6-5.
Drumm started off the game and pitched one and one-third innings, giving up six hits and three runs – all earned.
Lauren Johnson (Seward) came in and finished the game, pitching five innings, giving up three runs – all earned, and suffered the loss. Johnson is now 4-3-1 on the season.
Hoock, Holdsworth, and A. Johnson all provided two hits to lead PSC. A. Johnson also had three RBI, while Holdsworth contributed one.

Upcoming Games
On Saturday, the 14
th, the 'Cats will be on the road again, this time to Lamoni, Iowa, to take on the YellowJackets of Graceland University.
Bobcat Senior Day and Parents' Recognition will be held on Sunday, April 15, when PSC hosts Avila University. Game time for the match-up with the Eagles will be 2 p.m. Between games, the parents will be honored and following the double header, the seniors will be recognized.
The following week, the Bobcats will be on the road Tuesday, the 17
th, travelling to Canton, Mo., to face HAAC foe, Culver-Stockton College, with a double header scheduled for 3 p.m. Then, on the 18
th, it will be the final regular-season home game for PSC when former Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference (MCAC) foe, Bellevue University, will visit for a double header scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
