Peru State athletic director Wayne Albury announced that Kassidy Haberman (Sioux Falls, S.D.) and Noah Temme (Fairmont) were selected as the Bobcat student-athletes of the month for September.
Haberman and Temme were recognized as they both made history as part of either a new recognized competitive sport or one which has been revitalized.
A freshman, Haberman made history on Saturday, September 26, as she was part of the first Bobcat bowling teams to hit the lanes as Peru State participated in the Midland Warriors Hammer Open at the Mockingbird Lanes in Omaha.
Haberman also will have the recognition of becoming the first bowler – female or male – to bowl a 200 game. She rolled a 204 in the second game of the first day and followed it up with a 212 in the third game.
Albury stated, “Obviously, Peru State athletics continues to make its mark in history for the College with the beginning competition for our bowling teams and the revitalization of the men’s cross country team. Kassidy and Noah, along with their teammates, have become part of Bobcat lore.”
