Myles Bach

Myles Bach is entering his first year as the Head Cross Country and Track Coach. Bach comes to Peru State with experience at both the NCAA Division II and Division III levels and a background as both a successful student-athlete and coach. Most recently, Bach served as the Head Cross Country and Assistant Track and Field Coach at Beloit College, where he also worked as the program's recruiting coordinator.

Prior to his time at Beloit, Bach worked as an Assistant Cross Country and Track and Field Coach at Washburn University. During the 2024 season, he helped guide the Washburn men's cross country team to a 24th-place finish at the NCAA Division II National Championships, the best finish in program history. The Ichabods also placed fourth at the NCAA Division II Central Region Championships, tying the program's best regional finish.

While at Washburn, Bach assisted with recruiting, meet management, training programs, and a variety of day-to-day operations within the cross country and track and field programs.

Bach earned his Master of Arts in Education in Kinesiology and Sport Sciences (Coaching) from University of Nebraska–Kearney, completing the degree in December 2024. He also earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management Comprehensive from Nebraska–Kearney in 2023 after beginning his collegiate career at Gonzaga University, where he studied psychology with a minor in sports management.

As a student-athlete, Bach was highly accomplished at the national level. He was a 2022 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Meet Qualifier in the 10,000 meters, a three-time USTFCCCA All-Central Region cross country honoree, and a member of two NCAA Division II national qualifying cross country teams. He was also named a 2022 NCAA Division II Academic All-American. Â
