Gossett comes to Peru State from Rock Valley College in Rockford, Ill., where he spent two years as the assistant coach. During the two years he spent at Rock Valley, the teams accumulated a 50-15 record, while being ranked in every NJCAA DIII top ten poll. While at Rock Valley, Gossett coached an NJCAA All American, and six All Region IV student athletes. Gossett was hands on in all aspects of the program including recruiting, scouting, academic monitoring, guards and wing player development, video coordination, and strength and conditioning.
He played his college ball at Eureka College, in Eureka, Ill., from 2013-2016, after playing his freshman season at Lakeland College, in Sheboygan, Wisc. In 2016, he graduated with a bachelor’s of science in criminal justice from Eureka. Gossett is a native of Aurora, Ill., where he grew up and attended West Aurora High School.
