Sean Wilkerson begins his second season with the Peru State football team where he is one of the defensive coordinators and is in charge of the linebacking core.
Wilkerson is a nationally recognized recruiter, and has coached numerous All-Conference playersÂ
Before coming to Peru State he was at Butler Community College from August 2020 to July 2022 coaching the linebackers.
Wilkerson coached two All-KJCCC players during the spring 2021 season in Quae Drake and Malik Berry.
The Warner Robins, GA native, Wilkerson has also been an assistant coach at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, NCAA Div. II. He began his coaching in the high school ranks with West Franklin High School and then onto Piper High School. He spent a year with NAIA Middle Georgia State University helping them to a South Atlantic Conference championship before landing the job at SWOSU.
As a player, Wilkerson attended San Diego Mesa College before transferring to Ottawa University (KS). There he helped the Braves win back to back KCAC Conference Titles in 2011 and 2012. In 2012, Wilkerson was named an All-KCAC Wide Receiver.
Wilkerson has completed his Master's Degree in Sports Administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and he earned his Business Administration degree at Ottawa University.
