Lou Varley enters his 15th season with the Bobcat football program 2008-2023. Varley is currently the Tight Ends coach for the Peru State football team.
Before coaching at Peru State College he coached at Nebraska City High School from 1988-2008. He also had coaching stints with Ravenna High School from 1983-1988, Friend High School from 1978-1983 and got his coaching career started at Superior High School from 1974-1978.
He earned his Bachelor's degree in 1974 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with an emphasis on 7-12 grade Math. Varley earned his Master's degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2006 with an emphasis in EDAD.Â
Varley currently resides in Nebraska City, Neb.
