Box Score (Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State volleyball team earned a strong home win on Friday afternoon, defeating Avila (Mo.) in four sets, 25-19, 25-23, 23-25, 25-8. The victory improved the Bobcats to 5-3 on the season.

The Bobcats came out sharp, hitting .281 in the opening set behind balanced attacking from Alejandra Villareal and
Eden Moore. Peru State built on that momentum in set two, holding off a late Avila push to take a tight 25-23 win and a 2–0 lead in the match.

Avila responded in the third frame, capitalizing on Bobcat errors to edge out a 25-23 decision. But Peru State left no doubt in the fourth, dominating with a .520 team hitting percentage and closing the match on a 25-8 rout.

Villareal led the way with 12 kills while hitting .321, while Moore added nine kills and three blocks for 10.5 points.
Kalolaine Pasikala was nearly unstoppable at the net, recording nine kills on a .500 hitting clip. Setter duo Sami Chesley and
Shealie Wiebers combined for 48 assists, with Chesley also picking up 14 digs. Defensively,
Braelyn Braithwaite anchored the back row with 14 digs of her own.

As a team, the Bobcats out-hit Avila .225 to .077, recorded eight service aces, and collected 74 digs.
