(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Baseball team took one game against the (RV) MidAmerica Pioneers in their four-game series on April 18
th and 19
th. The Bobcats are now 12-16 in the Heart of America Conference and 18-26 overall.

Game 1 (Peru State 3 – MidAmerica Nazarene 10)

Gustavo Rivera got the Bobcats on the board early, driving in the first run with a clutch double that brought
Xavier Solla home. In the third inning,
Josh Schaller followed up with a double of his own, plating
Airam Betancourt to extend the lead. The Bobcats added another run in the fifth when
Xavier Solla capitalized on a Pioneer error.

On the mound,
Blake Urwin delivered a solid start, giving up just three runs.
Derek Rios took over in relief, recording a strikeout, and
Brenton Pitt closed out the game with three strikeouts while allowing only two runs.

Game 2 (Peru State 0 – MidAmerica Nazarene 2)

The Bobcats faced a tough outing at the plate, managing just two hits—one each from
Josh Schaller and
Airam Betancourt.

On the mound,
Kevin Diaz delivered a strong performance, going the distance with a complete seven-inning game. He allowed only two runs and racked up six strikeouts.

Antonio Benitez put the Bobcats on the board early, crossing home plate after a clutch single from
Gustavo Rivera. In the fourth inning,
Airam Betancourt added to the momentum with a well-placed single that brought
Tyson Fancher in to score. Moments later, Benitez delivered again, this time with a sacrifice groundout that allowed
Jackson Lynch to come home, giving the Bobcats another crucial run. Offensively, the Bobcats tallied four hits in the game, making the most of their opportunities at the plate.

Blake Denson was dominant, going the distance with a complete seven-inning performance. He allowed just two runs while racking up five strikeouts, keeping the opposing lineup in check from start to finish.

Game 4 (Peru State 2 – MidAmerica Nazarene 6)

The Bobcats got on the board quickly in the first inning, as
Xavier Solla delivered a clutch RBI single to bring home
Antonio Benitez. In the fourth, Benitez continued to contribute, this time with a sacrifice fly that plated
Diego Rivera. Offensively, the Bobcats tallied six hits, with Rivera leading the way with a pair of base hits.

Garrett Pavletich set the tone with three strikeouts in his outing.
Brenton Pitt followed up with a strong relief performance, adding two strikeouts of his own.
