(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Men's Basketball Team defeated the William Penn Statesman, 106-90, scoring their most points this season.
Bobcats are now 18-5 in the Heart of America Conference and 14-5 overall.
From the outset, Peru State took control, finishing the first half with a solid lead at 52-36. The Bobcats came out strong in the first half with
Carlos Hines having 21 points and three rebound.
Donzell Johnson had 12 points with
Chris Peoples having seven rebounds in the first half.
The defining moment of the contest came in the second half when Peru State extended their lead by as much as 31 points, effectively sealing their 106-90 victory. Hines had added nine points with Stephen Coleman Jr and
Quentin Wright each having eight points in the second half.
Carlos Hines led the scoring for Peru State with a remarkable 30 points, complemented by 4 rebounds and a steal.
Donzell Johnson also made significant contributions with 18 points and 4 rebounds.
Chris Peoples was a key player as well, adding 12 points and leading the team with 9 rebounds and 2 steals. Additional notable performances included Stephen Coleman with 10 points and 6 rebounds and
Amir Poat, who chipped in with 5 points, 2 rebounds, and a crucial block.
