(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Women's Basketball team fell to the Clarke Pride, 86-73, on Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats concluded their season 6-18 in the Heart of America Conference and 8-20 Overall.
The first quarter saw the Bobcats' taking a promising start, thanks to the early offensive push by Natasha Deal and a 3-pointer from Kylie Diaz. Leading scorer Kylie Diaz racked up 21 points, while Natasha Deal and Erison Vonderschmidt contributed 15 points each. The Bobcats initially dominated, ending the first quarter with an 11-point lead. By halftime, the Bobcats were leading 42-40.
The third quarter saw Clarke took and extend their lead, taking control of the game. Despite the Bobcats' best efforts, led by Taydem Miller with 7 assists and key contributions from Diaz and Deal, it was not enough to reclaim the lead. Hailey Ingram stood out with 6 rebounds and shared the top position for steals alongside MaKinley Tobey and Deal, each securing 1 steal.
