(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State women's basketball team fell 78–62 to Culver-Stockton on Saturday afternoon in Heart of America Conference action inside the AWAC. The Bobcats move to 8–6 overall and 5–2 in league play following the loss.

Peru State got off to a strong start in the opening quarter, attacking the paint early, but Culver-Stockton responded with a late run to take a 25–15 lead after one. The Wildcats carried that momentum into the second quarter, extending their advantage and heading into halftime with a 46–28 lead.

The Bobcats continued to battle in the second half, finding success inside while working to slow Culver-Stockton's perimeter shooting. Despite the effort, the Wildcats maintained control entering the fourth quarter.

Peru State closed the game strong, outscoring Culver-Stockton 21–20 in the final frame. Kylie Diaz led all scorers with 31 points and added nine rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block in an all-around performance. MaKinley Tobey finished with 11 points, while Erison Vonderschmidt added 10 off the bench.
