(Lamoni, Iowa)- The Peru State volleyball team earned a dominant sweep over Graceland University on Thursday night, taking the match 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-15). The victory improves the Bobcats to 9-12 overall and 2-6 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play.
The Bobcats came out strong, hitting .167 in the opening set behind balanced offense and consistent serving to claim a 25-16 win. Peru State carried the momentum into the second frame, controlling the pace of play with a 25-18 victory before closing out the night with a decisive 25-15 finish.
Eden Moore led the way with a team-high seven kills, five blocks, and 10 total points, while Alejandra Villareal added six kills, nine digs, and an ace. Kennedy Miller contributed four kills, two blocks, and a service ace, and Kalolaine Pasikala tallied four kills with two blocks of her own.
Setter Teodora Bulatovic directed the offense efficiently with 15 assists and two aces, while Sami Chesley added eight assists and five digs. Braelyn Braithwaite anchored the defense with a team-best 15 digs and chipped in a service ace.
