Bobcat win First Conference Game of the Season

(Peru, Neb.)- The Bobcats took on Bethel college and William Penn in their Bobcat Triangular. The Bobcats entered conference play with a win against William Penn. The Bobcats are now 5-8 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

In the first set of the match, the Bobcats went back and forth with the Statesmen. Raevyn Russel had three kills with Kennedy Miller having two as the Bobcats took a small lead in the set. Raevyn Russel had two more kills as the Bobcats took the first set 25-22.
 
The Bobcats had a slow start in the second set. Through kills from Hana Deticek, Raevyn Russel, Eden Moore and Kalyssa Fox, the Bobcats fell to a 17-6 deficit. Kills from Raevyn Russel and Kalolaine Pasikala helped begin to close the gap. The Statesman managed to pull away and win the set 25-21.
 
Kalolaine Pasikala started out the third set for the Bobcats with a kill followed by a kill from Raevyn Russel. Kills from Addison Schnieder took a quick lead for the Bobcats. The Bobcats continued to push to win the set with the help of kills from Kalolaine Pasikala, Kennedy Miller and Eden Moore. A service ace from Raevyn Russel won the set for the Bobcats, 25-22.
 
The Bobcats took a 6-0 lead to start the fourth set with kills from Eden Moore and strong serves from Allie Schneider. Multiple kills from Raevyn Russel and Eden Moore along with service aces from Emily Sherman and Allie Schneider helped the Bobcats extend their lead. The Bobcats won the set 25-16.
 
Raevyn Russel led the Bobcats with 13 kills, 13 digs and four aces. Kalolaine Pasikala had eight kills, six digs and two solo blocks for the Bobcats. Eden Moore had seven kills, three digs and one block in the match.
 
Allie Schneider had 18 assists, six digs and five service aces against the Statesman. Samantha Chesley had 15 assists with four digs and two aces. Emily Sherman had 10 digs with three aces with Ryan White adding seven digs.

Allie Schneider started the first set for the Bobcats with a kill followed by a block by Kennedy Miller and Raevyn Russel and kill by Kennedy Miller. The Bobcats took a quick lead with the help of a kill by Raevyn Russel. The Threshers closed the gap and took the lead. Through the efforts of multiple kills from Kalyssa Fox and kill from Kalolaine Pasikala, Bethel took the first set 25-14.
 
The Bobcats had a slow start in the second set, as the Threshers took a quick lead. The Bobcats had kills from Eden Moore, Raevyn Russel, Addison Schneider, Kalolaine Pasikala and Kalyssa Fox throughout the set. The Threshers took the set 25-8.
 
Kennedy Miller and Kalolaine Pasikala started the third set with a big block. Eden Moore and Raevyn Russel had kills as the Bobcats and Threshers went back and forth in the beginning of the set. Bethel took the lead and through the Bobcats efforts, they took the third set win 25-14.
 
Raevyn Russel led the Bobcats with five kills and seven digs. Kalyssa Fox had four kills for the Bobcats with Addison Schnieder having three kills and one block against the Threshers.
 
Allie Schneider had nine assists and three digs with Samantha Chesley having eight assists. Ryan White added six digs for the Bobcats.
