Baseball Completes Series at Park

(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Baseball team took on the Park University Pirates in a four game series after playing games on April 25th, 27th and 29th, due to weather.
 
The Bobcats played one game on Thursday, April 25th before they had to postpone game two because of weather.
 
Game 1- Peru State 3 – Park 8
 
The Bobcats scored early after a single to left field by Angle Andrades sent Gustavo Rivera to score. Will grounded out to second, scoring Randy Jimenez. In the sixth inning, Randy Jimenez it a single to right field that scored Jackson Lynch.
 
Dylan Pavletich pitched five innings, allowing only hits and three runs, having three strikeouts. Tobin Wingender pitched one inning allowing three hits and five runs but had one strikeout.
 
On Saturday, April 27th, the Bobcats played two games of the series.
 
Game 2- Peru State 6 – Park 8
 
Will Reynolds singled down the left field line, scoring Efrain Torres and Doel Pina in the second inning. Gustavo Rivera doubled down the left field line to score Wesley Bradford. In the sixth inning, Rivera singled to the right side to score Xavier Solla and Efrain Torres. Antonio Benitez then hit a double to score Will Reynolds.
 
Casey Ogden pitched four innings for the Bobcats allowing eight hits and four runs but having four strikeouts. Blake Denson pitched two innings allowing three hits but having one strikeout.
 
Game 3- Peru State 3- Park 1
 
The Bobcats scored their first run of the game after a double to right center by Gustavo Rivera scored Will Reynolds. In the fourth inning, Angel Andrades hit a home run out left field. Efrain Torres singled to left field to score Garrett Pavletich.
 
Kevin Diaz pitched 5.1 innings allowing only seven hits and one run, having seven strikeouts.
 
On Monday, April 29th, the Bobcats played their postponed game from the 25th.
 
Game 4- Peru State 3 – Park 11
 
The Bobcats had seven hits in game 4. Angel Andrades had two hits with Antonio Benitez, Jacob Aberg, Garrett Pavletich, Randy Jimenez and Josue Cisnero each had a hit. In the fifth inning, Angel Andrades hit a double to right field to score Garrett Pavletich and Jacob Aberg. In the sixth inning, Josue Cisnero hit a home run for the Bobcats.
 
Dylan Pavletich pitched two innings, allowing only two hits and one run with one strikeout. Diego Oquendo pitched one inning allowing three this and five runs with one strikeout. Brenton Pitt pitched one inning and allowed two hits and two runs while having one strikeout. Tobin Wingender pitched one inning allowing four hits and three runs.
