(Salina, Kan.)- The Peru State Softball team fell in their doubleheader to Kansas Wesleyan on Monday, February 26 in Salina, Kansas. The Bobcats are now 0-6.
 
Game 1- Peru State 2 – Kansas Wesleyan 3
 
The Bobcats had strong defense throughout the matchup with Kansas Wesleyan. Danielle Houlden singled to send Audrey Kime to score the first run for the Bobcats to tie up the game. Macie Green scored the second run for the team after Coyote errors. The Coyotes were able to find their way to take a one run lead in the sixth inning to take game 1.
 
Emberlyn Medsker pitched five innings for the Bobcats, allowing three hits but only one error and having one strike out. Emily Vannatta pitched one inning, allowing two hits and two runs.
 
Game 2- Peru State 2 – Kansas Wesleyan 10
 
The Bobcats had a slow and costly fourth inning, with the Coyotes scoring five runs.
 
The Bobcats scored their first run in the fifth inning after a wild pitch sent Macie Green home. A single by Kaelyn Hamblen to right center scored Alanea Babb.
 
Jessica Filkin pitched 3.1 innings, getting charged with four its and five runs but having three strikeouts. Emberlyn Medsker pitched 2.1 innings with three hits and three runs but having one strikeout.
