Women's Basketball Fall to Park Pirates in Hard-Fought Battle at Home

(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State College Bobcats faced a tough challenge against the Park Pirates, ultimately falling 82-71. This basketball encounter on December 7, 2024, saw the Bobcats fighting valiantly but unable to secure a victory on their home court.
 
During the first half, the Bobcats showed promising play, creating a significant lead of 7 points by 08:17 in the opening quarter. However, the Pirates clawed their way back, finishing the first half ahead with a 48-34 lead. The turning point came in the third quarter when Park extended their advantage to 15 points at 08:04, marking their largest lead of the night. Despite a strong effort, Peru State could not bridge the gap in the final periods.
 
Key contributors for the Bobcats included Hailey Ingram and Kylie Diaz, each adding 19 points to the scoreboard. Ingram also provided 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and managed a steal, showcasing her all-around skillset. Diaz complemented her scoring with 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 crucial blocks.
