(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Men's Basketball team beat the MidAmerica Nazarene Pioneers in a close matchup on Wednesday night, 78-75. The Bobcats are now 3-0 in the Heart of America Conference and 7-0 overall.

The Bobcats struggled to find their rhythm in the first half, trailing for much of the period and not taking the lead until just three minutes before halftime. Despite the slow start, Peru State kept the game close, with
Ty Griggs contributing 10 points and two rebounds, while
Amir Poat added eight points. However, they were down by a single point, 34-35, heading into halftime.
In the second half, the Bobcats came out with renewed energy and focus.
Aaron Miller emerged as the key player, scoring 16 points and grabbing five rebounds, leading the team's offensive charge.
Devin Tomlinson also played a crucial role, contributing eight points and four rebounds as the Bobcats took control of the game. Despite MidAmerica's best efforts to mount a comeback, Peru State held on in the final moments, securing a 78-75 win.

Ty Griggs had 18 points, two rebounds and two steals in the first half.
Aaron Miller had 16 points, five rebounds and one steal for the Bobcats.
Devin Tomlinson had 10 points, seven rebounds and two steals.
