Volleyball Defeated in Heart Conference Tournament

(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Volleyball Team fell to the Central Methodist Eagles in Fayette, Mo. on Saturday. The Bobcats finished their season 8-10 in the Heart of America Conference and 13-19 overall.
 
In the first set, the Bobcats faced a challenging start, as Central Methodist winning the set 25-15. Kalyssa Fox led the offense with four kills, while Raevyn Russel and Addison Schneider each added three.
 
In the second set, the Bobcats were unable to recover, falling 25-16. Kennedy Miller made an impact defensively with two blocks, and Eden Moore contributed two kills, but the Bobcats struggled.
 
However, the Bobcats showed resilience in the third set, bouncing back to win a thrilling 29-27. Raevyn Russel delivered three key kills, and Addison Schneider added three crucial blocks, helping to secure the set. The Bobcats narrowly edged out the Eagles in extra points.
 
Unfortunately, the momentum didn't carry over into the fourth set, as Central Methodist regained control, closing out the match with a 25-8 win. The Bobcats struggled to find their offensive rhythm, and the Eagles secured the victory in four sets.
 
Raevyn Russel led the Bobcats with eight kills and 17 digs. Kalyssa Fox also had eight kills against the Eagles. Addison Schneider had six kills and three blocks with Eden Moore having five kills and two blocks. Erison Vonderschmidt had four kills and nine digs for the Bobcats.
 
Sami Chesley had 18 assists and nine digs with Allie Schneider having 12 assists and eight digs. Shealie Wiebers had six digs with Ryan White adding five digs.
