Volleyball Beats the Wildcats at Home

(Peru, Neb.)- The Peru State Volleyball team defeated the Culver- Stockton Wildcats in an exciting match on Tuesday. The Bobcats are now 6-8 in the Heart of America Conference and 11-16 overall.  
 
The Peru State Bobcats came from behind to defeat the Culver-Stockton Wildcats 3-1 (22-25, 25-22, 27-25, 25-23) in an exciting volleyball match. After dropping the first set, the Bobcats responded with three straight wins to secure the victory.
 
Culver-Stockton took the first set 25-22, with Erison Vonderschmidt leading the way with 6 kills. However, Peru State bounced back in the second set, winning 25-22 to even the match.
 
The third set was a tense battle, with both teams exchanging leads, but Peru State edged out Culver-Stockton 27-25. Vonderschmidt contributed another 6 kills and 6 digs in the set, while Kennedy Miller added 6 blocks to help the Bobcats stay ahead.
 
In the fourth set, Kalyssa Fox led the way with 5 kills, and Vonderschmidt chipped in with 5 digs. Peru State held on for a 25-23 win to complete the comeback.
 
Erison Vonderschmidt had 16 kills and 17 digs against the Bobcats. Kalyssa Fox had 12 kills and two assisted blocks. Raevyn Russel had 10 kills, seven digs and two service aces. Eden Moore had eight kills, three digs and six blocks. Kenndey Miller had three kills and six blocks.
 
Sami Chesley had 26 assists and 14 digs with two aces. Allie Schneider had 21 assists and seven digs.
