(Dubuque, Iowa)- The Peru State Volleyball team defeated the Clarke Pride in an exciting match on Saturday. The Bobcats are now 6-8 in the Heart of America Conference and 11-16 overall.
In the first set, the Bobcats struggled to find their rhythm.
Eden Moore had four kills with Raevyn Russel, Addison Schnider and
Kalyssa Fox having three kills in the set. The Pride took the set 26-24. The Bobcats bounced back in the second set, taking an early lead. The teams went back and forth with
Addison Schneider having three kills and four blocks and
Kalyssa Fox having three kills and three blocks as the Bobcats won the set 25-20.
The Bobcats didn't give up in the third set as they stopped the Pride early taking a 23-16 lead. Raevyn Russel had four kills for the Bobcats with
Addison Schneider adding three blocks. The Bobcats held their lead and won the third set 25-20. In the fourth set, the Bobcats start slowly before closing the gap and going point for point with the Pride. The Bobcats dug deep to close the gap with big kills, but the Pride took the set 26-24.
The Bobcats didn't let up in the fifth set, taking a lead and not letting the Pride close it as they rolled through the set with the help of four Kills from
Eden Moore as the Bobcats take the set after a kill from Moore, 15-10.
Raevyn Russel led the Bobcats with 15 kills, 21 digs and four assisted blocks against Pride.
Eden Moore also added 15 kills for the Bobcats.
Addison Schneider had 12 kills and nine assisted blocks with
Kalyssa Fox having 13 kills and 5 assisted blocks.
Erison Vonderschmidt had 11 kills and 17 digs in the match.
Allie Schneider had 30 assists and 14 digs for the Bobcats with
Samantha Chesley having 26 assists and seven digs.
Shealie Wiebers added six digs with
Ryan White having four.
