(Peru, Neb.)—The Peru State dance team on Saturday, February 18, competed in the Heart of America Championships in Marshall, Mo., hosted by Missouri Valley College. The dance team finished in eighth place.
 
In the prelims the dance team finished in eighth place with an overall score of 59.93 just ten points behind William Penn.
 
In the finals the dance team finished in eighth place with a total score of 60.33. Below is a breakdown of the final standings.
 
1st Place – Baker University – 89.48
2nd Place – Grand View University – 87.84
3rd Place – Benedictine College – 84.99
4th Place – Mount Mercy University – 81.97
5th Place – Missouri Valley College – 79.95
6th Place – William Penn University – 74.74
7th Place – Graceland University – 72.84
8th Place – Peru State College – 60.33
 
Peru State's competitive season is over and looks to build this offseason and return to competition next year.
