After coming off a huge upset win on Tuesday night over #11 Grand View (Iowa), the Bobcats hit .449 as a team while taking care of the host Culver-Stockton Wildcats in Canton, Mo. The 'Cats won 25-13, 25-13, 25-7.

With the win, Peru State improved to 20-3 overall and are still perfect in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) at 3-0. The Wildcats fall to 3-12 on the season and are 0-3 in the Heart.

Jhessica Martins (Uberlandia, Brazil) led Peru State with a match-high ten kills while hitting .500.
Yorgelys Jaspe (San Carlos, Venezuela) added eight kills and hit .533.
Nadja Janjevic (Podgorica, Montenegro) and
Kira Shapiro (Omaha) each had seven kills. Janjevic finished hitting a .750 clip while Shapiro hit .583.

Samantha Hinrichs (Ankeny, Iowa) added six assists.

Meg Grose (Peoria, Ariz.) had a game-high three service aces while four other Bobcats added two each –

Viera had a match-high 17 digs while Moore finished with four.

Alex Bowman (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) had one solo block and two block assists to lead the team. Janjevic finished with four block assists while Shapiro added three.

Peru State is back in action tonight in Oskaloosa, Iowa, where they will take on William Penn at 5 p.m. The Lady Statesmen lost Friday night at home to Benedictine (Kan.) to fall to 3-14 overall and 0-3 in conference play.

On Tuesday, the Bobcats will travel to Atchison, Kan., to face Benedictine who improved to 5-9 on the season with their win over William Penn. The Ravens are now 1-1 in conference play and face Culver-Stockton Saturday night.
