(Peru, Neb.) – The Peru State College (PSC) Bobcat volleyball team dropped its contest at Graceland University Tuesday night and saw its season end.
The Bobcats fell to the YellowJackets 25-21, 25-18, 25-19 to finish the season 10-23 and 2-7 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC). Peru State finished in a tie for eighth with Benedictine College, but Benedictine won the game during the year, thus getting the final spot in the post-season tournament. Graceland finished the regular season 7-2 in the HAAC, tied for second, and 17-9 overall.

Graceland held the 'Cats to a hitting percentage of .076 while they hit .229.
Tara Gonzalez (Lincoln) and
Lindsey Nelson (Granite Bay, Calif.) each had six kills with
Katlyn Donovan (Greeley) adding three.
Courtney Jurek (Bellevue) had 11 assists with
Paige Riza (Ravenna, Texas) contributing six.
Emily Maresh (Central City) finished with 21 digs and had three assists. Maresh claimed the HAAC season dig title averaging 6.2 digs in conference play and 5.4 overall.
Donovan and
Carrie Lierz (Holton, Kan.) each had one service ace.
Brittany Peterson (Orem, Utah) had one solo block and one block assist. Gonzalez had PSC's lone other block assist.

The Bobcats will lose five seniors off the roster – Gonzalez, Donovan, Maresh,
Becky Boshart (Wood River), and
Alicia Petak (Omaha).
