(Peru, Neb.) – Peru State College Bobcat head softball coach announced the signing of Emily Nelson, a Lincoln North Star outfielder.  Nelson will join the Bobcats in the fall of 2012.
 
Nelson was a member of a 31-13 Navigator team this year and earned all-state honorable mention recognition following the season.  During the 2009 campaign, the Navigators finished third in the Class A State Tournament. 

 In addition to earning all-state honorable mention, Nelson has received a Sertoma Award and has been on the North Star Honor Roll.
 
Nelson's intended majors at Peru State are elementary education and early childhood education.
