Peru State athletic director Steve Schneider announced on Jan. 3 that Karlee Stuart (Las Animas, Colo.) and Corday Sims (Chicago) were selected as the Bobcat Athletes of the Month for December.

The two were selected based on their recent honors as Heart of America Athletic Conference Players of the Week, as well as, their performances on the court in December.
A 6-5 guard, Sims has earned two of the Heart’s Player of the Week honors. His most recent honor was on Dec. 8 after he helped lead Peru State to an upset of then fourth-ranked Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan. Sims led all scorers with 29 points while adding five rebounds and one steal. Then, against Evangel University that following weekend, Sims again led all scorers with 20 points and added three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Presently, Sims is leading Peru State in scoring averaging 17.33 points per game while shooting 45.6% from the floor. Sims is currently listed in five NAIA Division I Top 50 categories.
